^ It's not so much that he can't be a centre. It's that he's not ousting Kadri, Frost or Backlund, and he's completely wasted in a 4th line role.

They need to be maximizing the lines this season while also looking to the future.

Pospisil is not a top 9 forward. He's a 4th liner, but could be a very good one. Lomberg is cemented on the 4th line. Those 2 should be partnered now and for next season. Rooney is taking up a spot of a player that I think can bring more to the line.

Lomberg - Pospisil - TBD

Huberdeau and Kadri seem to have found a groove together, but not enough that I would be concerned about keeping them together. Also not consistent. Zary and Kadri played well together last year, and Kadri can continue to mentor Zary while Zary waits for a C spot to open up. Zary should be a C going forward. Zary should be developing chemistry with Coronato ASAP.

Zary - Kadri - Coronato

Coleman and Backlund. That's all. Sharangovich needs a boost. Give him the Backlund bump and he can learn some more of the C role.

Coleman - Backlund - Sharangovich

Huberdeau - Frost - Farabee.
Frost and Farabee have some history already. Huberdeau connecting with them would be huge for the next few seasons.

Leaves Kerins, Klapka, and Rooney. Send Rooney down. Let Klapka, Kerins, and Lomberg rotate in and out of the 4th line for the rest of the season. Until Zary is back, keep Rooney up, move Sharangovich to Zary's spot, and let Klapka play with Backlund/Coleman.

Without Zary
Sharangovich - Kadri - Coronato
Hubderdeau - Frost - Farabee
Klapka - Backlund - Coleman
Lomberg - Rooney - Pospisil

With Zary
Zary - Kadri - Coronato
Huberdeau - Frost - Farabee
Coleman - Backlund - Sharangovich
Lomberg - Pospisil - Klapka

Without Zary:

Huberdeau - Kadri - Coronato/Sharangovich
Coleman - Backlund - Coronato/Pospisil
Farabee - Frost - Sharangovich/Pospisil
Lomberg - Bishop/Rooney - Klapka

Pospisil moves down to the Backlund line to see if Coleman-Backlund can spark him or with Frost-Farabee to add some physical presence to that line.

With Zary:

Huberdeau - Kadri - Farabee/Sharangovich
Coleman - Backlund - Sharangovich/Coronato
Zary - Frost - Coronato/Farabee
Lomberg - Pospisil - Klapka

Pospisil moves to the fourth line and the other three lines are basically rotating RWs to see who sticks the best on each line.
