Mind you, he played like crap the first half of last season, too, then caught fire the rest of the way. So I'm not ready to write him off completely yet. He'll get other chances to get off the schneid, since it's only a 23-man roster and you can only scratch three players at a time.
Most expensive equipment manager in the League? Thats gotta count right? Right??

"The guy who puts the bags on the bus makes $7M?"

Look...he's really good and hey! The equipment gets where it needs to go! He's Elite! All jerseys are freshly washed, lots of sticks, well sharpened skates...he'll even tape your stick for you if you ask him!

Speaking of which, I wonder if we will ever see Tyson Barrie play a game again. When was his last one, October?

This won't be a playoff team. And that's ok. Gonna be a while before things turn around.
Yep
Year 3 of you gotta expect around 7 before they are relevant again

Draft well. That’s a game that should remind people that bottom ten isn’t out of the question lol

At what point do you move on from the sharkey and kuzy experiment? For me it was last night. I’d start bringing up young guys for auditions.

That’s 9M in salary. You can’t bench them both and insert 1.5M in.

It’s wild actually.

Goddamn fans are impatient. This is why people say Canadian markets can't handle a rebuild.

As for Sharangovich, he is in a slump. He is getting chances. The puck will start going in again, and then he'll pot a bunch, and everything will be fine.

Nope, not for Canadian fans - he's in a slump? Buy him out!! And post insults on his wife's Instagram account!!!

Yeah a bad 30 game stretch and people are ready to buy him out.

This is why Canadian owners say their fans are too impatient for a rebuild

You a just go to the trade and draft pick threads and understand why rebuilds are so difficult in Canada.

Even fans that know it’s the only path to winning especially for a small market Canadian team they are impatient and accuse people of wanting to see the team fail.

I’ve never understood that. It’s like people think a rebuild like we are going through should be complete in 2 or 3 years.
Even if a “generational talent” is acquired, you need to assemble other pieces around it and you’d better expect 3 or 4 years to do that.
This isn’t NHL 2025. At this stage in our rebuild, we will be lucky if we are a legitimate contending team in 5 years

We are a Pettersson away from contending….for 9th and 10th annually.

Good thing Yegor has 3-4 anonymous strangers to protect him on a board he'll never read.

When he isn't producing points he is doing almost nothing else to help the team. Huby figured out how to play a complete game, and then lo and behold, his offensive game came back.

Yegor could use a few games in the stands to watch and maybe learn. If he plays a complete game he'll have a nice career. But right now he is close to useless, while a few Wranglers are playing lights out and deserve a reward for that.

Pospisil is not getting lots of points, but few would argue he should be taken off the first line because of other things he brings when not scoring. Yegor doesn't have to hit everything and grease it up, but learning how to backcheck and make safe plays under pressure would go a long way.

Garbage statement. No one is 'protecting him', but maybe - and here me out here - maybe people have different opinions than you do.

He's getting chances, that's usually the indicator that you want to see.

I hope you are right about him, he's a likeable lad. How long do you wait though? We are at 30 games. Doesn't seem impatient to me. Is sitting him for a few really such a bad thing?

THIS!!!

There will be slumps, there will be scratches, there will be busts.
Plus
There are 3 or 4 veterans to be moved out (we haven’t even finished tearing things down)
This is going to take some time yet
A lot of the young assets we have now won’t be with us when we matter again

This team needs to realize what they actually are. Make some changes, one way or the other, and picka direction. I'd prefer if they traded away anyone with value for futures or young players, but if they won't do that they should try to acquire guys to help push them up.

The mushy middle sucks!
