The Flames were solid. Askarov was solid. Good duo for the Sharks with Celibrini.

Really solid game by the Flames, and what more can you say about Wolf?

Wolf has 3 assists now lol
That was no simple empty netter for Hubey also. Totally outsmarted and outmuscled his guy.

Well maybe Huberdeau is going to have a tough time getting 40 assists this year. But he's been around the net and looking like he might have that 30 goal touch back. So that's encouraging.

God I'm so bored of that line of thinking.
He did also say that the pospisil hit was clearly clean and kositem (sp?) was wrong.

He said the Pospisil hit was at a low speed and clearly clean so there shouldn't be a reaction and the sharks player was lucky he didn't get a penalty.

On the Pachal hit he said players on the ice at that speed probably couldn't tell and it was extremely early in the game. Grunstumm (sp?) Did come up of the ice with a cut on his face. It was from the ice but players in the heat of the moment don't have slomo 5 seconds after a hit like we do on TV.

I couldn't tell at full speed and saw the sharks player leaving with a cut during the pachal fight. On replay it's clearly clean . Full speed out on the ice I bet it's super hard to tell.

Just got back to my hotel in San Francisco from the game. Flames totally dominated the first period and should have been up 3-0 if we don't make the other goalie look like a Vezina Trophy winner.

Celebrini sees the ice so well. He controlled the game when his line was on the ice against the Flames 4th line but they didn't break.

Was so impressed with how solid of a game Wolf and Huberdeau had tonight. If Backlund didn't have bad luck he wouldn't have any luck at all.

I can relax for the next couple of days and than Monday night - Warriors vs. Cavaliers.

He did score...SJ goalie is legit good too its not just the Flames making him look that way. Him and Wolf will likely be tops of the league soon IMO. Askarov has a .915 on the worst team in the NHL

To be where we are in the standings is quite amazing. The second half of the season could be quite interesting.

I’m pretty sure nobody had Huberdeau leading the team in goals on Dec 28th on their bingo card. Good to see.

I hope Dellandrea buys Grundstrom a steak dinner after that. Totally set him up to be cranked.

Some players with less assists than Wolf this season: Travis Hamonic, Anders Lee, Cam Atkinson, Jonathan Drouin, Dakota Joshua, Barclay Goodrow, Chris Kreider, Patrick Laine and new Oiler star Kapanen

Great win for the flames in a game that could quite easily have been a bit of a banana skin (long lay off, Christmas food, travel, away game etc.), Boring game to watch though imo.

Huberdeau seems well engaged this season, finally settled into his new environment, and the results are showing on his stats.

Wolf is just being Wolf, and what isn't there to love.

Missed the game.
Anyone able to recommend a highlights package that shows hits/fights in addition to just the goals??

I figured Bahl would be a solid add, had seen him in NJ and knew what to expect.

But Pachal…. What an out of left field amazing addition, the guy leaves it all out on the ice and truly appreciates the opportunity here with Calgary.

His give a ____ meter is sky high and he plays a hard game, reminds me a bit of Sarich tbh.

Wolf has to be leading the Calder voting.. what an absolute monster he’s been. Singly handily keeping Calgary in a playoff race.
