The enigma for me in our D depth chart is Miromanov.
I still don’t know what he is.

If we look at long term organizational depth on RH vs LH.
LH:
Bahl
Bean
Hanley
Solovyov
Poirier
Kuznetsov
Grushnikov
Morin
RH:
Weegar
Andersson
Miromanov
Pachal
Barrie
Brzustewicz
Parekh
Mews
Stronger on the RH side for sure...could probably actually use a bit more of a "blue chip" on the LH side but have some decent pieces.
Hanley and Barrie should both be gone by the end of the season. And our RH strength is probably why the team can afford to move Andersson instead of re-signing him to a long term, big money deal.

Weegar playing on the RH or LH is such a luxury.
If Anderson is traded I expect we could the following lineup going forward:
2025/26
Bahl - X
Weegar - Miromanov
X - Pachal
Bean
Eventually I see:
Bahl - Parekh/Mews/Brz
Morin - Weegar
Solo/Grush - Parekh/Mews/Brz
Pachal

Yeah, I actually was thinking he'd be the best of the new bunch this season. Looked solid last season, has that booming clapper and I recall him being a good skater too. Maybe just a down year. He hasn't been in the league for that many years.

I see Miromanov being a placeholder on the right side until one of our prospects can steak the job (hopefully 2026/27)

He's been solid since game 1. Listening to him on the radio, he sounds grateful to be here and feels he still has things to prove. Great to have him extended.

Not skill enough for top 4
Not tough enough for bottom pair
He is in the category of who cares at the moment
If he doesn’t step up, he’ll be gone when someone is ready

Long interview with Conroy on the FAN
discusses the signing, but also a fair amount on prospects up and down the organization.

Very cool to see a former development camp invitee come full circle and sign a multi-year contract with the team years later.
You're next, Mason Marchment.
