It sounds like this firing was more due to Richardson's coaching than expectations of where they should be in the standings. They are going to pick top 3 again but you still want to set up your young players for success and it sounds like that wasn't happening.

Not about good though, it's about if there is progression. Earlier in the year the Habs were a mess defensively. I've read that it's improved somewhat, but it's still a concern.

There has been just one European born Head Coach in 'Hawk history, and it was a epic failed result of a in-house power struggle. Alpo Suhonen, was given a flawed and aging roster to coach, much like Sorenson. However, Alpo didn't even have a decent prospect to work with. That said, I just don't think Chicago fans will be patient with Sorenson, and the sniping for a return to glory, which seems to be a Chicago sports tradition, (as Bear fans, this year, whine for a return to Ditka or Lovie Smith), will continue, as some fans pine for Q, and, somehow, he will be able to, magically, fix this broken team.
