It's not actually as bad as I think we might all remember it being in that Sutter season. And they actually look decent together lately when they've been together.
The stats actually say they are okay together too:
5v5 Stats since 22/23:

So it's possibly worth a shot at least trying them together again, since I think it does give other lines a bit more flexibility.
