He gives them days off when they earn it, so that's a major difference.

Perfect balance of being demanding and having structure, but rewarding guys for buying in and working hard, and doesn't punish too much for making mistakes.

Insane.

Final shots that period were 21-5 for the Flames. A couple of PPs, but only 2 shots on net.

this is a very, very good Rangers team that they just showed up. That's great to see, but you can bet the Rangers will be storming out in the 2nd period.

Sutter always gifted old grey haired dudes ice time and punished young guys…it must have been extremely demotivating.

Shots 21-5 after the first is absurd.

Great period by the Flames, unlucky not to be up by a couple.

Im still waiting for Huska to use Kirkland after missing multiple shootouts in a row, but if he can keep it up, no complaints.

Just bad flashbacks of Sutter using Ritchie.

Right. I don’t want to get ahead of myself. But starting with a strong defense and work ethic. Was his M.O but Huska will give the young guys minutes if they deserve it where Sutter was too stubborn.

He is, but his numbers are well below his usual standard. Will be interesting to see where they end up and the contract he gets.

I’m loving Zary carrying the puck up the middle. Reminds me of Johnny sometimes.

Sutter seemed to revel in being a contrarian…even if it hurt the team. Huska has tried to balance patience with players while showing a willingness to make necessary adjustments.

Turns out the Rangers needed Igor tonight. Flames are a raging bull bison.

Flames D has been outstanding, as well

Good sticks in the D zone

Bahl excellent defensively. (*Plays still die on his stick. Let Ras activate)
