Weird. It didn’t look like that severe of a collision.

Too bad for him but silver lining is it opens up a spot to keep developing young guys in the lineup. Players like Klapka, Kerrins, Duehr, Pelletier, Honzek, Morton ect.

At some point I hope they send Hanley down and start giving a shot to Crushnikov, Brzustwicz, Solovyov, Kuznetsov ect

Hunter Brzustewicz is still 19, has played a grand total of 14 pro games in the AHL and has zero goals and two points. Let's just leave him for now

Let Brz cook.

However, I wouldn't mind a peek at Crushnikov.

Opens up more cap space... which may be good around the deadline I guess.

With seven points in 13 games Mantha solidifies himself in Flames history right alongside 10 points in 12 games Sergei Krivokrasov.

Having Klapka up covers the front-of-net behemoth slot.

I actually liked Mantha more than I thought I would and think he is mostly a net positive on the team. I'm excited to see prospects get more opportunity for ice-time now though.

Same, thought he had really good games, weird it seem to go in bunches, really good for 2 or 3 then quiet for several.

Wonder, if the Flames will pick up a winger?

I feel sorry for the player, first of all that kind of injury sucks and so does the long term recovery.

Its the ultimate nightmare, a player trying to revive his career and set himself up to earn one last multi year contract, and then seeing his season end this early with zero safety net.

Maybe invite him back on a PTO next season if no one picks him up and give him a chance.

Really need a Centre, and let the wingers wing.

I bet that’s a wrap for this guy’s NHL career.

It actually reduces their cap space, as it means calling up another body. But that won't make any appreciable difference.

I also feel sorry for the season ticket holders in the 1st row behind the Flames bench. He don't get a lot of ice time so he'll be blocking views more than a lot of other players do!
