I hated the Klapka penalty in the first. Flames had an amazing start and he took a careless needless penalty immediately after, which got the Jets right back into the game.

Hopefully a good lesson for him.

Otherwise no complaints about the effort tonight. Good game but the other team got the timely call and had the puck luck.

Super annoying ending and the Flames deserved better. Can’t complain about the effort and impressive to hold a high scoring team to one fluke even strength goal. Wolf and Zary were great. The PP was horrible and cost them the game.

Reffing is so inconsistent. Never know if you’ll get call everything, let them play, or game management.

That Kadri penalty is garbage. I am reminded why the number of games I watch has declined. The game management is blatant and infuriating.

I guarantee the number of penalties Kadri takes over the next two weeks increases because of what he said after the game.

The refereeing was lopsided in application. However, we’ve all seen this before and the players know the drill more than anyone.

Kadri gave the referee something to call, and the referee called it.

Game was tied, Flames were pressing, Pospisil takes a well deserved selfish penalty. Looked like he slew-footed Ehlers. Is there bad blood between them or did Pospisil just loose his head for a second? The next two calls against the Flames were questionable, But the Pospisil slew foot changed momentum and set off a chain of events.

He plays on the edge all the time...which is both good and bad.

It makes him a very effective big body but also causes him to cross the line at times.

It happens with guys who play that way, you just have to accept its part of his game and as he gets more and more experience, it happens less often.

Sir! When concerning riots participation is absolutely mandatory! Now! Sharpen your pitchfork and oil your torches and work on your 'angry villager' face!

If you have a straw hat, coveralls with only 1 working strap and a flannel shirt...that would be ideal.

There was a Partipaction episode on this and everything!

Flames lose one they should have won = travesty. Flames win one they should have lost = we deserve it.

I presume you're attending the riot? We go Tuesdays and Thursdays and we meet at the Pub.

Exactly.

This team never floats.

They combine over the top work ethic with moderate skill to run the show for 35% of every game.

When the other team wakes up and pushes back they take over.

Fans always think games are broken into % of their team trying, when in reality more often than not it's just the other team inflicting their will.

Yet other players on the Jets gave the referee something to call and they didn't. The NHL has an officiating problem and have for years and as long as Gary Bettman is in charge nothing is changing. His game management bs system along with not holding any accountability to his officiating staff has really hurt the integrity of the game.

The team is a legit top line center away from being a playoff team, in my opinion.

Unfortunately those are the hardest players to draft/develop/trade for.

The Flames haven't had one in as long as I have been watching them.

That's gotta change before true playoff contention is a reality.

Does anyone have a clip of the alleged Kadri slash?

I get that we just killed off a 5 on 3, but the Kadri penalty was a blatant slash in front of the ref. I don't see how calling that is considered game management. Sorry (not sorry), we deserved that penalty.

Either we complain the refs put away their whistles, or we complain that they call everything...pick a lane!

If it was a Jets player slashing us, regardless of if they had already taken penalties, I would want them penalized.

Take the L. Move on.

So you’re mad they didn’t call everything? Because there were literally dozens of missed calls throughout the game, including at least 10 slashing penalties.

FROM THE GAME THREAD. I THOUGHT IT WAS APPROPRIATE HERE TOO.

I watched the last half of the Canucks/Pens 3rd period. The Pens got within 1 goal. They were pushing to tie the game, the Canucks were pushing back. There were close to a half dozen infractions "that are always called". The refs called none of them. None. They let the players decide who won the game. Call the game fairly. All I ever want.

Keep giving the Jets wins, they will still have an attendance problem.
