A teams a team...Vladar can thank Huberdeau, Kadi, and others for the win in game one...nobody needs to apologize for anything. 9 of 10 points move on...is it not literally the best 5 game start ever?

Nice to get the point but I thought the Fkames looked slower tonight than the first four games. The timing of the break was not great. Vladar played well but besides that it’s hard to pick a Flames skater who stood out.

Eberle was good on After Hours. Interesting to hear he had to give up social media because of his bad experience with Edmonton. And that he lives in Calgary now. I think he’s a good captain for the Kraken.

Guys looked like tired. A point is acceptable for this game.
And we need a superstar to take care these kind of games.

Sloppy game lots of giveaways and poor pass choices. Vladar looked really good. He should have a much better season this year.

A poor performance throughout, with the exception of Vladar who is looking very good. I thought the call on Huberdeau was weak. Without that, Vladar probably completes the shutout and steals two points.

57.7% on the moneypuck win-o-meter

The only game so far the Flames have been under water on that thing was game 1 vs Vancouver.

No reason to be tired, they had 3 days off and were coming off a home game.

But a point in any road game is not a bad result.

The Flames were unlucky not to come away with 2 points on the back of a good game from Vladar. There were a few sequences the Flames looked poised to capitalize on scrambles infront of Daccord, but he found a way to keep it out. I didn’t like Barrie with Weegar much and although I didn’t think Bahl had a great game overall there was a time when him & Pachal were out together and I thought, damn, that could be a very good pairing if Andersson is moved at the deadline. I’d even try Pachal with Weegar if Miromanov is out for any length of time. Other observations were that Pospisil looked to struggle badly in the face off dot and was sat while Kadri was double shifted in the 3rd. Maybe even Backlund was double shifted as Kirkland missed a few shifts. Personally Backlund looks like he is his normal ‘safe’ self but footspeed is becoming an issue and his inability to convert his chances on a stacked team would push him further down the depth chart. All in all the boys played a very structured low event game and we should be celebrating 9/10 possible points.

Can't win them all.

I was annoyed the Flames weren't playing Wolf, but Vladar had a strong game. Tandem until one takes it.

Don't think Barrie made a single outlet pass all game.

I shall indeed!

He's got this one! This one is on him!

Everyone knows that in sports, when you're winning, you NEVER change the routine!

Yikes, really terrible game to watch....

Few things of note

1) I thought Barrie struggled, I would expect he is out of the lineup next game
2) Face-offs are an issue, they seemed to be losing a bunch of the draws. Including the key one in OT.

I have always thought Eberle was redeemable. The stink will never be gone, but I think it is now at an acceptable level, and we can like him again.

Kadri trying to do too much these 5 games harkens back to 22-23 Kadri...hope that he turns it around.
Because Seattle also played a good lock down game.

I didn't think Costco was as good last night as he was in his first two. And Klapka didn't do much. Tie game in the 3rd, without last change - I wouldn't read too much into it (but I also wouldn't be surprised if Rooney slots back in on Tuesday.

Vladar kept them in the game the whole night.
Nobody looked good honestly, very sloppy and very tired looking.
Clearly the 6 day break was too much (terrible scheduling) team was pretty dialed in and then just sat without action for a week.

Hopefully they show up next game, they were looking unstoppable through the first 4z

I guess i saw things different from most.

I thought the team was awfully loose and were very lucky to come out of the game with a point.

Seattle was brutal in their own right which gave the Flames a chance to stay in the game, but the amount of mistakes the club made was horrendous.

Nothing that cant be cleaned up with focus and compete, and they arent gonna win em all, but against a competent team they lose that one by 4 or 5 goals IMO.
