I wouldn't be at all surprised if Pelletier looks significantly better tonight, playing with Backlund and Coleman - that is where he is meant to be, and where his game can shine.

He actually looked decent with that line.

I could be wrong but I think he played on that line on Saturday against the Canucks.

Haven't been watching the preseason games but while Pelletier isn't getting on the scoring sheet as much as his competition, is he at least looking really solid defensively? Has he done any PK work? I'm just hoping there's something there that keeps him away from waivers.

The PK is going to be interesting. While the PP was at almost 40% for the last 10 games the PK was 67%.
The Flames with Huska as a coach have usually had a pretty good PK.

Pelletier has definitely been solid defensively. Good back checking, stewing pucks etc.

Didn't he play on their line last game, and look terrible as well?
Excited to see the other young guys. Honzek has looked ready so far.

Flames always have a good PK regardless of coach. Seems they’re always above average at that for whatever reason.

Yup, Flames region only. Then the league bitches about illegal streams, maybe stop promoting the use of them by making a preseason game only available on a teams website and then put regional restrictions. It's a big middle finger to out of market fans.

Totally agree. This year may be the biggest test with a below average defense and Backlund’s age.

Unless the NHL gets this rectified in the next few minutes, you can watch on the Flames app.

I'm surprised Bahl isn't in the lineup. Only two more preseason games for him to get in game condition. Not 100% yet?

ETA: my ISP is Lightspeed and sometimes providers - like Sportsnet - identify my IP geolocation as being in BC. Just one of the (many) reasons why I don't use Sportsnet+.
