Ya it's faster than Rogers GPRS.

The cool thing is Rogers is still faster with most phones due to "edge" classes. So if you look into it you find out.

Edge class 6 - 2 x's faster than dial up.

Edge class ten!!!! Half the speed of a cable modem! (est)

Sony Ericsson W600i - moto V360 - Sony Ericsson S710 - HP iPAQ hw6515

And the V3 is a better motorola product but still crap compared to other manufacturer's in my opinion.

Tower owes an apology to the people who read this - I have been doing more research on DATA speeds.

EV-DO (revision 0 specs) 2.4 Mbps burst rate
155kb/s upload

Edge 1.9 Mbps download burst rate

HSDPA (comming soon to Rogers, currently being tested and very new tech)
I have hear 3X's faster than EV-DO. no real #'s yet though
