This guy is the greatest interview in Flames history.
I feel like he's better than Conny now, he's just such an open book.
I really hope there's a better plan than hoping to sneak him through waivers because I think he's got a bright future and his personality is so amazing for the room. I like Vladar but I would not be upset in the least to see a Wolf/Cooley tandem while Ignatjew tears up the AHL

Did he? I've heard a lot about Basha. Anyone have more details on Gridin?
Yup Gridin was one of the best young forwards this camp. Showed off his shot and hockey iq. Made some very nice plays and got open effectively. He was ready for AHL but we have quite a log jam on the wing there this year. I personally was more impressed with him than Basha, I see more potential from Gridin
Both kids can go back to junior with their heads held high- they showed very well. I was pleasantly surprised with Gridin's workrate, and his willingness to battle in the hard areas- I was worried he would be more timid, and shy away from the rough stuff.
Basha, as I've said before, will be considered a steal in a few years. I like his pluck, his compete, and how he gets in the opposition's faces.

Wonder when they start to dump everyone down to wranglers?
As much fun as the young gun love in is, at some point you have to start prepping the starters for the season. 4 more preseason games and the bullets start flying.

The ducks just announced Gibson is out for 4-6 weeks due to having his appendix removed. Could see them putting a claim in on a goalie.
