Sorry guys wasn't able to make it down today, family stuff came up.
I doubt the dome sessions are open to the public, would love to take my boys if they are but hasn't been that way going back the last 3-4 years (pre-covid)

Anyone happen to hear otherwise?

Will be interesting to see how they manage the line ups for the three games this weekend.

Got the road game in Seattle on Sunday, and then split squad games in Calgary / Edmonton on Monday.

Now the question for us out of town fans is if the NHL is going to screw us on making the games regional? I believe last year they did not restrict them but I do remember it happening in past years.

Kuzmenko is always an interesting interview .

"For me is simple, I need to be better skating, I get skating coach 4 days a week. I need to shoot more so I shoot more, simple."

Dude just wants to chill, does the bare minimum of what he has to . Such a character.

I find it an interesting idea to have Huberdeau-Pospisil-Mantha as a line. In theory that's a pretty beefy puck possession line if it clicks. 2 guys Huberdeau can bounce the puck off of in front of the net and they both can retrieve the puck for secondary chances with their size.

Also fascinating they want shot volume from Mantha. 300 shots? That's a work load. They must be planning on having pops living in the crease cleaning up the rebounds

It’ll be interesting to see how things shake out

Mantha shot a lot today, and has really good shot, but they did some drills (dump in, like gets a shot, then regroup and reenter for another shot) but without defensive players or pressure. The drills where they had D, it looked like their line was still very much trying to find chemistry. I think of a guy like Monahan and how he was very good at sneakily finding the quiet spots, and wonder if Mantha can figure that out

Wish I saw the first morning skate. I know Kadri is a top C, but he’s kind of been selfish at times. Sharangovich is a shooter and Kuzmenko is a bit of both. He’s definitely very skilled, was working after the captains skate tipping point shots from Miromanov. And 40 goal guys aren’t necessarily pass first. That line could be awesome, but I wonder what the chemistry is going to be like

I’ll add that a lot of the drills started the offense in zone or from the neutral zone, so you couldn’t get a read as much on what the rush game with Pospisil and Huberdeau will look

Yes, Kadri can often be guilty of tunnel vision. Is it because he doesn't see the ice well or is he like that when he doesn't trust his linemates?
