They just showed a 2nd interview with Tkachuk commenting on the Battle of Alberta making it that much sweeter and all the Oiler fans who traveled there for game 7.
He's not holding back!! Absolutely no love for Oiler fans.

Tkachuk just now:

“To do it here in seven in front of our fans - after a bunch of Edmonton people travelled down here, makes it so so much sweeter”

Interviewer on CBC in Edmonton interviewing randos on the street. "Do you remember what it was like losing in '06". Fan replies, "no, I was 1 years old."....in plural, like really? Don't know why it bugs me so much, but man they don't help the Edmonton stereotypes.

good, the way he was treated by them and honestly the Canadian media. Shamed for not fighting a goon. Do McDrai fight goons?

I wonder if he took it personally when we lost Edmonton a few years back. You know that had to be on the back of his mind about beating this team.

Even in this series there were fans in turtle costumes at one game. Now he owns them all and I'm sure it stings so badly.

Tkachuk is the best, will always be one my favourite Flames. Happy for him, love the shout out and the dig at Edmonton.

It's nice to him win instead of McDavid though
I’m pretty cynical about Tkachuk’s media interactions. I think he knows how that game is played. I think, though, that in this case he was having fun.

I mean, he still wanted out, and he was pretty much a non-factor in the series. But it’s a fun quote and I’m amused by it.

I must admit that I was angry when Tkachuk decided he didn't want to be a Flame and forced them into a bad move.

However, if that move and the Bennett trade were necessary to prevent Edmonton from winning a cup, I am okay with it. Thank God the moves happened.

One of these days, I really hope he gets decked so hard that a all his front teeth falls onto the ice with his mouth guard right beside them

Happy for Bob, Barkov, and Reinhart but not for Tkachuck. No effin way I cheer team bailers. Unfortunately, that goes for Bennett.

I always struggled with being angry at Matt, because I thought he was just the right type of hockey player, tells the fans exactly what they are all thinking anyways, plays with an edge but in spite of what other some oppositions fans would claim not in all that dirty of a fashion, and he absolutely loves and shows his enjoyment in winning.

At the end of the day, I would have loved for him to stand up and say he could carry this team without Gaudreau. He chose a different path that I wasn't happy to see, but I still like him as a player and as a personality who shows his enjoyment of sport and competition outwardly.

That was part of it, but the reaction he got from the Oilers fans and team, and some of the hockey world, after he nailed Kassian clean twice and was expected to fight, surprised him.

Kevin Lowe actually went right over Hollands head and extended Kassian's contract within a week of that happening, he was so smitten with the mouth breather...from that point on Tkachuk knew all about the rivalry.

And Edmonton bootlicker media calling him a 'turtle' at the start of the series. God bless you Matty.

Imagine Tkachuk helping save us from the worst timeline ever. And not even 2 hours later, complaining about him.

If you don't like him, just ignore the thread. Any Flames fan should like him right now.

Congrats Chucky & thanks for saving us from the darkest timeline.

Although now it'd be nice if the cup could stay far far away from Florida and even further from Edmonton for a very long time!
