The Wild will be unveiling an investor as well as their first signing this afternoon. Sounds like it's Josh Morrissey of the Jets, who are in town for tomorrow night's game. Solid add.
Former Leicester City women's manager Lydia Bedford is set to become head coach at Calgary Wild, one of six teams forming the Northern Super League in Canada.
Bedford is currently in charge of Brentford's under-18s men's team and spent the summer with England's under-19s squad at the Women's European Championship.
Lydia Bedford officially announced as head coach of the Wild.
Not gonna lie, I am very surprised Katie Collar didn't get a head coaching gig in this league. Was originally with Foothills UWS and then poached by Whitecaps to run their girls elite team in League1 BC. Both clubs go with European managers in the end.
Picked out our tickets today, seemed to be a decent amount taken at 3:00 this afternoon but obviously tons available. We're in the "Nest" section and got a parking pass.
From their social media they got through the first half of their deposit holders today and the rest will be tomorrow. Kinda feels like they are dragging it out a bit more than they have to. It'll be interesting to see how many STH they get.
My wife tried to get tickets today and got the email but it wasn't actually working for her.
Support was pretty useless in trying to help her sort it out though.
I messaged someone in the league office that I know. She spoke with support, and not only are there tons of great seats left, there were some reserved for founding deposit holders too so everyone will be taken care of as soon as possible. They appreciate your patience.
My impression is that they got a little overwhelmed on the first day. But your window should still be open and it might be worth trying again.

Schedule has dropped. Starts April 16, ends October 18. Three weeknight games.
Only 1 clash with Cavalry on September 13 where both games start at the same time. Will be interesting to see what attendance is like for both clubs that day.
For anyone interested in going to Vancouver for the Wild's first game on April 16, we have an away section sorted at BC Place. Tickets will be about $45. I'll have a link in the next couple days I can share if anyone wants.
I know I'm not the person that the Wild or NSL is looking to market to, but allow me to list my gripes with the Wild's kit release.
First, I can't tell from the release if I even like the shirt. Dimly lit photos with lame marketing reasoning about why they chose that shirt do not do any shirt release justice.
Second, they are doing replica and authentic jerseys. Looking at other club's price points, the authentics are in the $170-200 range which is far too high. Replicas as a whole, while a great price point, are cheap knockoffs of the authentic and not what I'm looking to buy.
Third, I can't even buy these today if I wanted. These aren't available until the 27th for season ticket holders and until the 31st for the general public. By then I will have forgotten about these and will have instead bought the Cavalry away shirt which is being launched on the 27th and available immediately after.
