I’m no Paul cheerleader but he’s fought some professional guys. Not in Tyson’s calibre but still. Tyson is almost 60. I’d love to see him do a body shot but I can see Paul defend and await a decision. Paul has endurance. I don’t think Tyson ever did because he didn’t need to. He ended most his fights super early on. I don’t see him winning unless he sneaks in a body shot.

Not many professional boxers thou... some MMA guys, some youtubers and a basketball player are among his opponents. I think Tyson has a shot if it goes to the judges because Paul connects at a below average rate on his punches. Tyson is old... but he's probably still the highest quality fighter Paul has faced.
If this was Tyson in his Prime and you put the over-under on the match length at 20 seconds I'd take the under.

But it's not prime Tyson and what clips I've seen suggest he'll be totally gassed by round 4. Which is funny cause that was the strategy to beat him in his prime, not to gas him out per se, but survive the early rounds and he was very beatable.

I'm hoping for a classic Tyson peek-a-boo hook or upper cut that ends the fight.

Like, I don't expect this fight to last 1 round. That how it should be. Tyson still has his punching power and even if his punching speed is half of what it was in his prime Paul has no answer for that. Tyson is pain. Blocking his punches is pain. Paul's gonna be in pain.

This is all true... I don't think the conclusion is foregone.
Ultimately thou Jake Paul is basically a semi-professional boxer. Pretty much still a relative novice in the sport and more of a spectacle. Tyson may be old but he's really jacked (looks like he didn't skimp on training) so I wager he's still plenty strong and way more experienced.
Really they're both the winner since they'll both walk out with many millions of dollars more then they had going in.

Mike Tyson at 57 looks better than most people at 25. What an absolute legend.
I remember a flabby and out of shape Roy Jones thinking he could box with Tyson and Tyson came out beating his ass.

You guys should check out Holyfield's last fight. He looked in great shape (like Mike), was 58 (nearly same age as Mike), fought an MMA guy who never did boxing (so in theory a worse opponent than Jake), and got his ass whopped. Amazingly it did 150,000 PPVs though.

Tyson DOES look great and probably better conditioned than 99% of the population, but that age thing is such a tough piece to overcome. Demeaning Paul to say he’s fighting YouTubers and stuff. That was his early stuff, but he’s seriously dedicating himself to it. Didn’t he beat Tyson Fury’s brother? That shows he has some talent. The 60 age is huge no matter what.

As far as a circus event it may be entertaining but it’s a far cry from a legitimate boxing match. Maybe one day young Jake will fight an actual boxer in his weight class

^^I mean Tommy Fury won that fight in most people's eyes. While no doubt that Jake is a serious boxer, I wouldn't necessarily say a decent one though. He has fought against mostly overmatched opponents, which is actually a good microcosm of everything wrong with boxing now, the best fights rarely get made and when they do it's when guys are past their prime.

He lost against Fury and that was his only legit fight. He has been fighting either has-beens or youtubers.
Has he dedicated himself to the sport? Yes, but he also takes on dumb fights.

He takes on fights that make him money.
Are people going to pay to watch him fight actual young up and comer boxers that most of us never heard of...nope.
Will people pay to watch him fight MMA fighters who are now old but were once household names...yup.
I hope Tyson wins but in the end he's 58 years old, and his body has been through a lot. If it goes past a round then Paul probably wins.

Holyfield probably came out of his mother's womb chiseled. The guy always had a phenomenal physique so no surprise.

Can you imagine the amount of 'roids Jake has taken leading up to this fight. Obviously, there's no real testing going on. I really hope the old man knocks him out and good.

Love the positive vibes in here for Iron Mike. Keep it up!! Good vibes only! I'm guessing it's because we're all in that age range where we grew up watching Tyson dominate his opponents and nostalgia usually wins hearts.

Just to add to my previous post. I've not seen Paul fight any real fight except I think the Mayweather fight? Was it Mayweather? And that was a total snoozer. Because Mayweather was never about punching, really.
I doubt Paul has the punching power to really affect even an old Tyson. Dudes always had a chin, it's what made him so menacing. He'd go in and destroy you while taking some of your best shots.
I don't know, I don't see age being an issue outside of endurance. If Paul can somehow defend and clutch and grab his way to 5+ rounds, then yeah I can the judges going his way. But in no way shape or form am I expecting Paul to KO. Tyson.
