Should have been a major. Crosscheck to the face of a defenseless player.

That should be 5 for sure. Wasn't that a crosscheck to the face?

Zary looked to be in some serious pain. Greasy crosscheck to the face. Only 2 for that?

People complained when the Flames took a high volume of low percentage shots.
Now they complain when the Flames make too many cross-ice passes. Are they supposed to shoot after 3 passes, even if there is no open shooting lane?
I get complaints about someone in a position to shoot passing instead, but maybe we’re a bit too quick to criticize on occasion.

It looks like it's Armed Forces night, so probably that.

Should be a minimum of a 4 minute PP , and probably 5 for cross checking a player in the neck while he’s defenceless on the ice.

That's exactly what it is for me. I agree, you don't shot no matter what, but if you pass 3 or 4 times and are in a good spot to let it rip, do it. Don't try to pass it for the fifth time to make a prettier play and give the puck away.

Even though the shots were only 5-3 and the score 0-0, that was a great period of hockey - fast paced, good passing, and lots of action. And both defenses were fantastic - hardly any room out there, for either team.
One of the fastest paced periods of the season so far.

The Flames don't even have any tough guys. Who's going after Kesselring? Oesterle seemed like he wanted to go. Greer, I guess?

Their conceding of the shot to their teammates on the PP is like watching canadian drivers concede the right of way at a four way.

Yeah, that Kesselring (sp) should have a tough rest of the night, and should get a call from player safety tomorrow. Cross-check to the face followed by a cross check to a prone player. Get the eff out of here.
Will probably get nothing.

Call me soft but I’d be all for ejections on that play against Zary. Crosscheck to the face and then a borderline sadistic crosscheck again when the player is obviously down and in pain.
That type of psycho action has no place in the game.
