Savard is the one who started taping up Huberdeau's stick last game (also going from white to black tape) and also did so tonight.

Can we pass .500 instead of just flirting with it?

Hopefully these guys have a run in them just to give the season a little meaning aside from trade chips playing up their value.

Would be fun.

The Flames ought to be considered playoff contenders, if not Cup favorites.

Markstrom is really good in Minnesota. He held the fort when Minnesota made a really strong push.

Greer was pretty noticeable tonight I thought and Huberdeau's finish on that goal was impressive. Nice passes by Sharangovich and Lindholm on that one too.

I'm really happy they put Mangiapane back with Backlund and Coleman. Huberdeau looked decent on 28 and 17 tonight but that 88-11-20 is too effective to keep apart.

Seems like Zary has cooled off a bit but he is still holding onto pucks and making plays so he'll find his way back I think.

Tanev and Hanifin were good and I think I like Gilbert the most when he's playing with Andersson.

Greer is flames modern version of Sean Donovan. Speed and forechecking. So many chances. Hands of stone for majority.

That was Jarnkrok.

Greer actually has 6G on the 4th line this season! That's twice as many as Dube and Ruzicka, 1 less than Mangiapane, 2 less than Lindholm, and 1 more than Huberdeau.

I find the GWG stat weird. At the time, Huberdeau's goal was actually a bit of insurance...but it counts as a GWG because Minny scored.

GWGs should be reserved for goals that break a tie, and the other team doesn't score again. Really happy for Huby and the win, but I will die on this hill.

Can’t Huby have nice things once in a while?

I’m not sure he’s going to get a next one so hopefully he cherishes this moment.

I’ve always thought GWGs being automatically counted as clutch goals is a bit OTT. It’s all situational. Scoring the first goal in a game may be more important.

I hope so too but at the same time it’s, well, it’s a dark humor trip. I love the episode but yeah it’s a lot.
