Does Czechia have the shortest anthem in the world?

Terrible performance from start to finish for the Canadians this tournament. You kept hoping they would eventually put it together but they never did, thanks to the coaching staff that made terrible decision after terrible decision.
It sucks that they are missing so many quality players but we should be more than capable of making up for that with the talent we have.
It ends what overall has been an awful WJHC tournament overall, so I guess the positive is we don't have to waste our time watching more garbage hockey this tournament has provided.

I still think part of the problem is the gap has closed that Canada can't leave players like Cristall, Heidt, and Nadeau behind anymore and only go with 1 or 2 scoring lines but fill out the roster with less dynamic but stronger defensive players.
Other teams have elite players now too (Kulich is a guy I really want the Flames to target with Buffalo) and you need to be able to score.
Doesn't matter if maybe those guys aren't as well rounded as other options...they are averaging over 2 points per game in the WHL for a reason (or in Nadeau's case well over a PPG in the NCAA).
Ridiculous that they didn't even get invited to the camp, let alone make the team.

That was the story of the game. Especially in the third period, Canada was not hitting the net, and you seldom get luck if you don't hit the net. .

A renewed Czechoslovakian combo team would be a top competitor, as would a combo of German speaking nations (Germany-Austria-Switzerland).
Canada has been making odd choices for selections for a few years. And notably, we have not had a really solid goalie come up through Canada in some time now. I thought the roster was very unexciting outside of Celebrini. Very meh, and the result matches.

West brings the D, Ontario / Maritimes the F, Quebec needs to bring the G. Why ain’t nobody in the pipeline?!

The same brain trust that wanted to take Makar as a PP Specialist and 7th Dman because he had played in lower leagues before college.

It's always disappointing to a certain extent when the Canadians get knocked out before the medal rounds but at the same time, for me, I like seeing the other countries become more competitive. It makes for better tournaments and it's fun to watch a country continue their development year over year. The other thing that would make the tournaments better for me would be to allow the Russian kids to come back. Really awesome seeing Honzek play so well after being off for so long from injury!

Yeah, I really wish they would too. It’s not like these teenagers have anything to do with what’s going on over there. Let them play hockey.
Michkov’s dad “mysteriously” was killed for crying out loud.

Like some other sports such as curling. Other countries have closed the gap on canada. We obviously have more depth based purely on the volume of players. But all of the countries seem to have top end talent and improved coaching. A lot of the other countries players are playing in North America as well.
