If it's a 3-2-1 point system why even have the shootout? OT, then tie.

I like the SHG rule. It rewards the defending team for scoring, will increase aggressive PK tactics, which will ultimately lead to more PPGs scored. Curious to see how this plays out after a few seasons, so I'm fine with letting that ride. Shootout is a gimick anyways, so if you want to have your best player do it repeatedly, then have at 'er. It's a coin toss anyways, so what's the harm in using the same coin repeatedly.

If there were a rule I'd love for them to implement it would be that kicking the puck in the net results in a good goal.

A special award will be given each season to the goalie who resorts to the funniest stance in order to protect his leg. This will be called the John Cleese Trophy, and will be presented personally by the Minister of Silly Walks.
I like it! And maybe take away the Goalie's stick?

Give them a cane. Fleury was already testing it out in practice earlier this week.

And they have to wear an eye-patch!

You only get 1 eye!

If they make 5 saves then it becomes a full-on blindfold for both the shooter and the goalie!

I'm interested in how it will play out, but as a woman I also don't like making the women's league different than the men's league. It just gives the naysayers more ammunition, and really for what? I hate the purple arms for the refs.
