At least they would destroy the No Goods up north. My only worry in an LA/grease series is how many penalties LA would take against McDarling, Pissy and co. Look at how many they took against the flames! Too bad our PP is beyond pathetic.

I agree with this. They made a nice play at one point to switch play from the left side to the right and quickly got it down to Kadri just below the goal line with tons of space. It was a good 2 count with both of the other forwards staying completely stationary and no option for him to pass. Ruzicka has to be giving him an option to shove it to the front.

Hanafin had a tough one, and looked oddly like he was having trouble tracking guys down on the back check, when normally that's a strength. Tired? A bit banged up?

Raz, and to a lesser extent Zary, hold on to the puck for too long on the PP. Because the Flames are unable to open up gaps when the puck is down low, they are trying to do it by moving it around at the point but by not moving it quickly up top, they are giving the opposition time to reset.

That was the one play where they actually were moving the puck until, as you say, Kadri was stuck by the goal on his backhand with no one to pass to. These guys pass and then see what happens to the guy they pass to instead of getting to a shooting position.

The ENG Hanifin got beat cleanly on, by a guy who was further away from the puck. He shouldn’t have been tired. He did have a bit of an awkward pivot and his opponent didn’t have to turn so that was part of it. And he is more of a smooth and graceful skater than one with a good first burst of acceleration.

The goal they did score was a great example of moving it from board to point to shooter with zero wasted time. Caused a nice rebound and Coleman stuffed it in. Backlund won the draw, fed to Huberdeau, who got it to Weegar and he one timed a pass to Ruzicka, who shot it without hesitation.

Really IMO all of Lindholm, Hanifin, Tanev, Greer, Ruzicka and potentially Dube (don't sell low) should be moved.

Huberdeau-Zary-Sharangovich
Pospisil-Kadri-Coronato
Mangiapane-Backlund-Coleman
Pelletier-Schwindt- Klapka

Kylington (Fingers crossed) - Weegar
Gilbert - Andersson
Solovyov - Desimone

(I'm sure some pieces will come back in deals too but just guys in the organization right now)

That's a rebuilding team...but honestly I'm probably more interested in watching that team than what's in the ice right now.
Obviously this, according to the Trade & Spec thread:

Holtz - Kadri - Mercer
Stankoven - Backlund - Necas
Minten - Zary - Sharangovich
Pelletier - Coronato - Pospisil

Andersson - Weegar
Pesce - Clarke
Solovyov - Kylington

Agree but why are they doing that?

A: because wingers / center ain’t moving around enough. It’s a lazy PP. Nobody moves their feet much, nobody to pass to.

I mentioned after watching our win against Anaheim, that I’m enjoying watching this team.

After this loss, I’m reiterating that I enjoy watching this team. The effort is there, the young talent is being given a chance and they’re earning their spots. It’s great to see.

Merry Christmas to all that through whatever quirk of fate, have come to love this team.

How exactly are you getting all of these players (8)? We only have so many quality players to move that will demand quality prospects back. You're not getting anything of the quality added to the lineup by moving Vladar, Mangipane, and Dube. You're also MAYBE going to get one of Holtz or Mercer in a deal, not both. What trades were bring back these returns? I could see the Flames cleaning house, but they are not getting a fist full of top prospects in deals. They're going to be getting B level prospects and draft picks.

You get all those ready NHL players and get rid of Huberdeau too?

You’ll need to explain those trades.

They’re all there by the user base in the Trade & Spec thread over the last few weeks. Every single one of them is highly plausible so I don’t see what you guys have issue with.
