They need to change up the PP more. Huberdeau was taken off the first unit and if anything it looks worse now (2nd unit had their best chances tonight).

My two units would be:
Net
Zary/Huberdeau
Zary/Huberdeau Kadri Sharangovich
Weegar

Run the PP through Zary/Huberdeau on the left half boards but have those two shift / swap to create a bit more motion. Kadri as the bumper and Sharangovich as the LH on the RW for one timers.

Net
Pospisil
Backlund Mangiapane Lindholm
Andersson

Andersson and Lindholm love to play a little two man game on the RH side on the PP. On the first unit I don't like it, but think it could work on the second unit. Pospisil to cause chaos in front and Mangiapane in the bumper spot should fit his skills. Backlund on the LH side.

Get guys like Ruzicka and Dube off the PP units...you can't play 4th line and be on the PP. Not enough puck touches to be in a rhythm when the PPs come.

And Create some urgency and competition between the two units too. Group A starts the first PP, if they don't score then group B are first ones over the boards on the second PP. Not enough talent to take those 8 forwards off the PP, but you can make them compete against one another for the ice time.

Markstrom with an outstanding game.

Man, these guys are easy to cheer for. They're a young hard working underdog, and they've been able to snag several W's against some top tier teams.

Amazingly they're finding ways to get it done by committee and stay in the playoff hunt, despite the PP being terrible, Huberdeau continuing to stink, and the obvious lack of elite talent. It's impressive.

Oh, and we're now 4 points up on the Cup favourite Oilers. Lol!

I'd say they survived their ridiculously hard schedule lately

Trick will be having the same effort no matter the opponent

There were a few beast performances tonight, but none better than Markstrom. Calgary played fairly well over all, and i wouldn't say that Calgary stole this one, but if Markstrom didn't come up big tonight, Calgary would have lost. I thought it was premature to stick Markstrom in right away, as I expected him to be a bit rusty. Just comes right in and was almost unbeatable.

It really is nice to see his turnaround this year after last season. This is definitely one of those feel-good stories for this season, as it seems like yesterday when Markstrom stated "I suck at hockey now." He has been solid all season long.

Tampa and Florida roll through Alberta and get 4 points in Edmonton, 0 in Calgary.

Not sure what to do about the powerplay. It honestly looks like they just go out and make it up as they go.

Really looks like they don’t practice

That sequence he played without his stick, wow! No stick, no problem, slid back and forth in crease making saves.
