The Coyotes are playing great defense with solid goaltending as Vejmelka made 22 saves for the SHUTOUT as they beat the Sabres 2-0. It is the second straight game the Coyotes have kept their opponent off the scoreboard.

The Flyers defeated the Red Wings 1-0 in reg time. Ersson gets the 33 save SHUTOUT. It was an evenly played game with the shots being 33-33 and both teams were perfect on the PK, each going 3/3. Cam York scored the only goal of the game in the 1st period. Lyon started the game in net for Detroit and was injured in the 2nd period. Husso took over. The Flyers are hot by winning 6 of the past 7 games.

The Rangers-Bruins game was a classic, the Rangers won 2-1 in OT. Trochek scored both of the Rangers goals. The PK was strong for both teams, 5/6 for the Bruins and 4/4 for the Rangers who are now in 1st place of the eastern conf.
