the only legal play with your hand in hockey is to immediately hit the puck down to the ice...not toss it UP over the net

It should have been a penalty, nobody thinks it was a hand pass

Oilers lost, so it’s all good.

It was entertaining for the majority. Flames showed some emotion, they had their chances, but the team that was able to capitalize won. Nashville just came out too strong, and stayed fairly strong all game - Nashville was obviously the better team. I just think that the Flames did have a chance to win this game.

Now we get to see what this team really is. They started the season incredibly poorly, but they have taken HUGE strides in their game, but it was mostly against average to below average teams. Now they play the good teams, and they will either sink or swim. Time to buckle up - the long-term direction of this franchise might be decided in the next 5 -10 games.

Just caught up with the highlights this morning, 2 goal swing with that missed call and hats off to the stripes for saving Gilbert's head at the end of the fight.

Anderson and Lindholm must have passed it back and forth at least four times in a short stretch of PP I saw... get Anderson off of PP1 already.

I’m beginning to think rehiring these retreads who feel wronged by the organization (Sutter, Savard) is a big mistake.

Perhaps their return in predicated on sewering the franchise.

As for the game itself, decent effort, but feels like a losing streak may be forthcoming with the difficult schedule ahead.

He’s so bad offensively, I’ve never understood an opinion suggesting otherwise. If he was left handed he would have 2 total power play shifts in his career.

There's a long list of things the Flames need in order to rebuild, but perhaps first is a bonafide #1 defenceman. We've got good 2s+3s.

Adam Fox... wouldda, couldda, shouldda...

Reminds me of that old Elston cartoon with those words atop a picture of Gilmour, Hull, Selanne in Flames silks.

is a boring garbage team. Will probably just miss the playoffs. They have forsberg, josi and a goalie. They are like the oilers (two good players), except they have a goalie.
At least it was a starting goalie, and a good one at that, who played amazing against the Flames. Much better the likes of Saros do that against us than the the backups or 3rd string goalies.

I think they likely want to try Poirier in that role. But alas, he’s injured

absolutely bizarre that the third Preds goal stood ... never seen anything like that. That should have been a penalty on Forsberg instead, but hey, it's not like the ref was right there ...

NSH looks fast and decent, but the Flames did a pretty good job of tying them up most of the game. But playing decent D doesn't win games without scoring.

Sure, but getting caught in the make the playoffs trap again could be the final nail in the coffin if this franchise decides to stand pat and wait too long to make deals or mess around with huge extensions for some of these ho hum players.

Unless this team goes on an absolute tear from now until the deadline (not happening), there is no reason to think this group is any better than their record indicates.

Refs were bad too.
Andersson has been hot garbage for the past 90 games. Savard should be fired if he keeps putting him out there.
