I think it might be more due to wanting to stay and the Flames not being interested in committing to him long term than locker room shenanigans.

I want the Flames to trade all their pending UFA’s and I don’t think this trade request does anything negative for his value. Zadorov played great tonight and is a highly coveted type of Dman who is in his prime. Lots of teams will be interested and the Flames should do well here.

He’s probably the most entertaining flame (Zary as a potential candidate too) this year. Really hope we keep him in the medium term, speaks his mind, isn’t a country club bozo like other players. This really sucks if he wants to leave
