Zary seems to know how to do the hockey. He’s got real potential. That was a very entertaining game! Would have loved the extra point but still pretty happy and encouraged by the way the Flames played.

What a fun game. Loved the effort from everyone. No passengers. Solid battle on the road and it was a coin toss that cost the flames the extra point.
Aside from Zadorov, I thought the defencemen were the ones most responsible for the frequent giveaways. They definitely need to sharpen up their games.
Tanev and Hanifin really struggled. I know Tanev gets lots of love both here and by the media but he has been responsible for a lot of giveaways this year. He’s still a decent defenceman but he does not seem like the calming influence he used to be. It could be the new system. Or it could be him trying to do too much.

This 3on3 was fun but some are a downright bore as well. I'd be for a 10 minute 3on3 OT if there were rules restricting exiting the zone was a team has entered.

Eh, I'm not upset at all. That game was nothing like I expected after the first 10 minutes. Enjoyed watching it, would have liked a win, but w/e. Onwards.

Wolf needs a goal. Huska should have been more progressive in his coaching.

Leafs pbp act like children. Yelling, laughing and making uncontrolled noises while on the call.
Reminds me of that old Edmonton crew with remenda that was a total joke
They were taking pity on the Flames right until it was suddenly tied and the confusion was palpable in the booth at that point
What a collection of insufferable pricks
Hope they lose in round 1 as per tradition. Second worst franchise on earth.

Only caught the third when it was 4-4, but happy with a point there. Fun game! If we are going to lose, let it be that way.

That is two games in a row where they showed some form resilience. Bravo

I hate losing to the Leafs regardless of how many goals the Flames were down. Sure wish the Flames had some skilled players that could come through in the clutch but I guess those guys all left

Over and back rule solves this. Once you enter the zone in OT you can’t exit. If you do there’s a whistle (but no stoppage), you have to dump it back to the opposing goalie and wait for the opposing team to bring the puck into the neutral zone.

That's three.
Down twice in Seattle.

A lot of mixed emotions in that one. Sad they got behind so quickly and sloppily. Happy they fought back. Surprised they dominated OT, mad that the refs let the Leafs cheat so much in OT. Sharangovitch made up for his first period gaffe with a dynamite SO goal, and then Marner horseshoes one.
EDIT: also amused that the 3 stars in a 5-4 SO game somehow were all Leafs.

Yeah. Hard to decide on an overall impression. There was a lot in that one.
We were entertained at least?

Definitely. You are correct on not knowing how to feel. Take Vladar. There was a tale of two games for sure.
Considering only the play in reg time, I’d say the Leafs deserved the win. Flames deserved a win in OT though.

Big Z doing the absolute most to get the TML fanbase to demand Tre overpay to acquire him. You love to see it. Would make for a nice end a mutually beneficial relationship between player and team.

I’d sell tanev and hanifin, keep Z.
I think Tanev is slowing down and Conroy would do well to sell. I’ve never been convinced of Hanifin’s hockey iq and I think it stands out more when the team is lower quality.
Really happy with zary and pospisil.
Keep huberdeau, lindholm, and mangiapane together and let them figure it out. Was better this game imo.

Agreed. Hanifin and tanev are the two I'd cash in on.
Zadorov has MORE than earned his right to stay with some term.

Well, his agent pretty much just said “nah” to Zadorov staying in Calgary on X.
