After the outdoor decidedly not classic (Thank god it was outdoors because the stench coming off of the two teams would have killed an arena of fans). The Sportsnet panel was crowing that the Oilers were back, and everything was alright.

Throughout this game I'm hearing the Harlem Globetrotters theme played in my head as the Oilers get dummied and the Stars barely break a sweat on the second of back to back.

Lets be very clear here people, and perspective Oiler fans that might peep in here with a sad boo boo face.

This isn't a goalie problem, though honestly the Oilers goaltending tandem is bottom of the league bad.

This might not be a coaching problem (actually it is as mighty mouse the coach has had an easy job the last two years. He opens the gate for McDavid and Draisaitl).

The Oilers as a team are entitled. They believe their own press, they don't listen to any coach, they eventually tune them out to play Conna indy stats award hockey.

This is a team that's uninterested in playing without the puck. They're lazy and they're team's bottom 9 forwards and blueline are awful. Ekholm looks like he's done. Nurse never got started except for one fluke year that good for him he turned into a retirement on ice. If I'm the Oilers I'm freaking out a bit about the Conna who looks rather human this year. Maybe the years of playing 3/4 of a game have caught up to him. Maybe his hips bothering him. Maybe he's wondering why he let his girlfriend design his dream home that has a basketball hoop 6 inches from the ceiling. who knows.

But yes Virginia, the Flames are awful. But the Oilers because of their expectations and their wonder twins are worse.

Terrific OOT with four games in the Pacific timezone! Jake Allen in net again as the Habs are tiex 1-1 in Phoenix. The Jets are losing 3-1 to the Knights. The Kraken score twice to take a 2-1 lead and the Canucks are simply pounding the Sharks into the seabed of the Pacific Ocean.
