They've tried Mang, Shary and Dube there. Nothing really sings. Before you they go get someone, I hope they exhaust all options (including Kadri) on the right side to see if anything sticks.
I think the fit they need is with Lindholm more than Huberdeau. If you find a good duo with Lindholm, teams with get burned pressing Huberdeau too hard which in-turn will free up Huby. To me that someone must be able to win battles down low and make plays to Lindholm's spot in the slot. The one beauty goal that line did score came from that exact type of play and what ultimately made the Gaudreau-Lindholm-Tkachuk line so dangerous. If you keyed in on Gaudreau, he dumped it deep, Tkachuk won the puck and found Lindholm. The issue is Mang can't win the battles consistently enough to make that play and that really isn't the strong suit in his game.
I'd try everyone to see who, if anyone, can unlock that chemistry which also allows Mang-Backs-Coleman to be re-united. The remaining 3 guys that don't work make-up the 3rd line. That line may need to be sheltered but early on it appears any Kadri line should be sheltered.
I've been waiting patiently for them to try this trio out.. hopefully they give it a try. Lindholm and Rosie seemed to have a bit of chemistry last year..
I don't think its a puck battle thing, its more of someone getting the zone and getting him the puck.
I think it would need to be someone with speed. Just going east west and slowly wont work as defenders can just cover whoever.
Coming in with some speed and drawing coverage and getting him the puck and getting to the open ice even if its in coverage Huberdeau can thread a lot of those passes.
Haven't seen enough of Sharangovich to know if he can do that. At the moment the only two players who really fit the profile are Dube and Kadri and probably Backlund.
The reason you try everyone with Huby-Lindholm is because there is no obvious answer and every option has a downside too.
I’d like to see what works stick in the starting line up:
mang-backs-Coleman
Greer-Shary-Duehr
One we know historically works. The other has looked really solid.
Start Huby-Lindholm with one of the remaining forwards. Go down to 3 lines in the 3rd and reward who is going with Huby-Lindholm time. That gives a bunch of looks quickly and creates a reward for the guys going that night.

Sharangovich needs a bigger role. I think he's trying to get acclimated but I think like Backs it's a confidence thing with him.
Early on Backs struggled but he always shows up when it matters. I don't think he's being utilized properly and I wanna see him bust out . When I watch highlights of him man he's got some serious skill . The right linemate is all he needs much like Huberdeau.
Pieces of the puzzle will hopefully start fitting together soon. Huska is a smart guy I just hope he doesn't start line blendering too too much and just keeps guys together for a.little longer .
