Dube has been complete garb. I'm not a big fan of the player at the nhl level tbh. Jack of all trades type but very inconsistent, which makes him frustrating when used in a top 6 position.
Sharangovich has been fine, and probably has the most adjusting to do here. A lot is new for him.
Coleman still brings effort even if it's messy.
Backlund can certainly be better but we know he has another couple gears so I'm not concerned.

Yeah Kadri really needs to step up he has been awful.

Its not just points but the details like faceoffs its maddening watching him get gifted offensive zone time and get cooked on the dot.

Watching him take a PP faceoff is annoying. Like the guy sucks at figure something out.

I just wonder if he is upset with his linemates again like last year.

No wonder he is not wearing a letter.

Not sure what people expect from Dube. He makes $2.3M and puts up decent numbers. In his 3 full seasons, he has put up:

20/21: 22
21/22: 32
22/23: 45 pts

pretty good progression. A 45 pt guy for $2.3M should be celebrated. But Cdn hockey fans are just reelentlessly negative.

Crazy how common this is on the site.

I just watch to watch. I don't have that anger or blind faith in any of them.

One thing about Dube the past few seasons is that he seems to start slow and finish strong. Hard to draw anything from a two game sample size to start the season but I would hope that eventually he can get going earlier in seasons.

Slow starts for offensive guys seem to be a theme throughout the years for the Flames.

Oops, sorry about that Caps! But not our fault that system in place is bad for business for the league as a whole.

Dube’s good for about .5 PPG, can play almost anywhere in the lineup, great wheels on a team that lacks speed, still young with upside, modest $2.3M cap hit. Underrated around here imho.

Not a good sign if Conroy is drinking this early in the day...

*Can be, doesn't mean he should be.

IMO he belongs on the third line of a team that's half ways decent. He's too inconsistent and streaky.

Probably don't want a guy that goes as invisible as Dube being a regular in your top six.

If I was the GM, the Lindholm situation might drive to the semi occasional day drink too. Tough situation for a newly minted GM.

The gut feeling tells me the Flames get the two points today.

I mean sure.. but he’s not getting top six money and isn’t responsible for the team’s lack of depth on the wing.
