Huby is also good at cycling the puck in the zone. But what he really benefits from is players with good speed and who crash the net and create space for him (either stretching the ice with speed or pulling the d back to the net) and he definitely needs a puck carrier on his line. Lindholm can be a puck carrier but I'm not sure should be "the" carrier, like Gaudreau was.

Backlund is a better puck carrier than Lindholm is, IMO

Love to hear the rational around that one, this league needs to get WAY more consistent with the reviews/calls it was really bad last year.

I personally did not think Dube was pushed, or, if he was, it had virtually no effect on his line of travel to the net and into the crease. That seemed like the right call last night.

Dube followed the puck into the crease - he has as much right to it as Helley does

I haven't been this excited in pre-season since that Chuck Kobasew fella put up like 6 goals in the preseason.

4)it's preseason so I don't think we should overthink this too much.

Okay. For now I'll let this slide.
But man alive Markstrom is not instilling me with a lot of confidence here.

Does it make you feel any better that he is not trying to?

So Huby-Backlund-Coronato is a thing. Should give them an extensive look.

A bit of tongue in cheek there, but I do think that Coronato is going to be a player. He has that drive and work ethic to win battles and put himself in positions to make a difference.

It was a weird play. You are right, he followed the puck in, and by that time Hellebuyck had slid so far that Dube was between him and the puck. So, was he in Hellebuyck's way so he couldn't get to the puck? Yeah. But it was not his fault.

Even Chuck Kobasew couldn't believe he scored six that year.

To me, it sure looked like Dube pushed Hellebuyck out of the way - that was IMO the call for goaltender interference.
