Guess have to go Wolf, because you can make a case (although I don't think it's consensus league wide or anything) that he's the best prospect at his position- certainly the most accoladed and that is hard to ignore
but
1. goalies are voodoo and
2. he's small
I"m not totally convinced of my vote, but I will lock it in

I don't put as much stock into goalies, but it is Wolf undeniably here. No other prospect in this organization has done more than Wolf. No other prospect is the 'best at his position' in any league. No other prospect has had an MVP season.
It is Wolf by a mile, and I say this while also believing that the Flames have some really good talent coming through.

Wolf my pick as well. He's arguably the best prospect in the world at his position. No other prospect in the system is in a similar conversation. He's been the best goalie in any league he has played in since he was drafted.
He's a fantastic prospect and there is a real chance that he will be a franchise cornerstone.

People are allowed to have differing opinions and views on things.
Virtually every player in these runoffs have zero NHL experience.

Fair enough, and I suppose a prospect that could make the jump from an amateur league to the NHL should be considered a better prospect (if Coronato or Honzek made opening roster).
The vulnerability as a fan to believe (and potentially get hurt) the Flames have a homegrown elite prospect among good prospects is a precarious position.

I rarely get excited about goaltending prospects. The last one I let myself get excited about was Jon Gillies BEFORE he had his hip injuries, which completely derailed his career. Before that he was short tracked to be a starter.
Wolf is just so stupendous that it seems like bias at this point to not except that he is an elite goaltending prospect. I have no doubts that he will be an NHL starter. To what degree will he be exceptional after that? I do not know, but I wouldn't bet against him. He continues to prove people wrong at every level, and just dominates the leagues he plays in. Be happy he's in our organization. It's been awhile since we had a legitimate homegrown goalie.

With Wolf, I'm just hoping talent and athleticism compensate for whatever physical attributes he lacks.
I also just have to remind myself that we won a cup with a dwarf, and he was spectacular back there with way smaller equipment.
So anything is possible.
But it isn't until it is reality.
Eventually the highly touted goalie prospect has to pan out for this team though, right? We have to be due after Ortio, Parsons and Gillies.

Wolf is in a different class in terms of performance post draft for all those guys. Even the ones who were good in the AHL didn't win goalie of the year two years in a row in the AHL.

Ended up Going with Wolf as well. All he does is build his resume by being the best at each level. Back to back in the AHL, as far as I can tell for the first time ever.
