Hoping for Andrew Cristall. Family connection.

My preference is basically not a defenseman in round 1 and then there's a handful of guys who I wouldn't mind if we snagged.
If I absolutely had to pick one player, it would be Cristall, followed by Wood.

Could see Cristall because of Iggy's input/sway. Only thing is I'm not huge on a 5'10 player. We have a few of those.
I like Musty, outside of the position. Looks like a player that is exploding right now with a high ceiling.
Wood and Yager would be safe picks who play an important position. Couldn't go wrong with either I think.
Perreault would sure be nice, not sure he'll be available.
I hope a team well before us takes the Michkov risk.

Cristall.
I'm not interested in high floor low ceiling. Pick the guy with the highest skill available, and let him work through the warts.
Unless you're picking top 3-5, you're not getting difference makers unless you take risks.

I like this mindset. Take the most elite skillset and let your development people smooth out their edges.

Since Tom Erixon didn't want to be a Flame I say we try again with Tom Willander....

1. Danielson
2. Cristall
3. Wood
My hope is that Flames can turn 2 players into picks between 10-20 and somehow land all 3

My wife just yelled at me that she wants Wood! I had no idea she was following the draft.

Just watched highlights of Danielson and wow he sorta moves like MacKinnon. He's my pick at 16. Let's go!

If Danielson is available at our pick, and they pick someone else, I will cry.

What do you think his ceiling is? I worry a little that he tops out as a strong 3rd liner. Which isn't a bad thing, but can he be more?

I see first line, ppg or greater two-way C. On another junior team, he would have had 90+ points. As usual, just my opinion.

I think that unless a great player falls in the draft, they need to go with a center, and that's Danielson. I'd also try to recoup a pi k in the early 20s and try for heidt there.

Trade #16 and Jeremie Poirier to Montreal for #5. Take Ryan Leonard. Scoring RW with grit.
