He's gonna have one of the best reads on the next few drafts as well.

Kiss babies, shake hands, the odd wining and dining. Help get former teammates hired as HC

He's not going to go out there and steamroll over someone and score a goal for the Flames anymore but this still makes me super excited!

Good on Iggy & the team to wait on this so the spotlight could shine on Conroy and Huska as their appointments were announced.

It can't hurt to have the best player in Flames history to be part of the team in some capacity. It's good exposure for the Flames to have him as a face.

Perfect. Now lure Kipper back to coach mental fortitude and preparation for our goalies. A lifetime supply of quality vodka and bi-weekly fishing retreats should do the trick. Hell we can send the goalies out for a development camp in the Finnish wilderness, if he refuses to leave.

As much as I love Kipper I dont know that our goalies need to learn how to smoke countless cigs during games!!!

I cant even imagine what Kipper would say to Markstrom over his lack of mental fortitude over the past 2 seasons.
"Swedes are weak...need to be more like the Finns. Get it together."

At the end of the Flames Podcast with Parker and Dittrick he says that he will be in Nashville for the draft.

Definitely not. He'd take him fishing, make him haul all the gear, bait the lines, then say nothing to him for 8 hours while occasionally offering him a dart.
At the end, he would nod curtly and tell Markstrom that he should have everything he needs.

I love these guys, but also felt a tinge of hypocrisy as we chirped at Oilstains for years about their old boys club in MacTavish and Lowe, etc.
but this would be more like Ryan Smyth and Wayne Gretzky came in to take over.
