I think they'd be foolish not to give him a shot. Have to let him have two years though...which I'm sure they will given that's how many years they're paying Sutter.

The good thing is we don't need to worry about that he will be bringing Wolf with him.

Originally I jokingly predicted two months for everyone to turn on Love if he is coach. Then later I mentioned that some (look up the definition of the word "some") posters are already questioning his playoff decisions as a sign of things to come.

Do you think that the coach should never be questioned? That would be quite the appeal to authority.

Doesn’t matter who you are - trainer, coach, GM, President of the USA… your decisions are up for criticism. I’m not sure why that should be a surprise.

Bring the goalie coach too. Whatever they are doing together, it's working.

I don't know if this is a poem, but I'm reading it that way in my head. I don't care if it doesn't rhyme.

I thought that was only in the NFL?

I don't recall an assistant coach under contract in the NHL being able to unilaterally terminate his contract to accept a better job elsewhere.

Could have gone with the title "Mitch getting plenty of Love"

He can grow the mustache that is synonymous with Flames success. Who is more qualified than Mitch Love when it comes down to the things that matter most?

Wolf said Jordan Sigalet is a big reason why he has been so good early in his professional career. While there was a thread to have Siggy and Labarbra fired lol.

Mitch Love has been in the Flames organization for exactly two seasons now. He's hardly some grizzled vet in the Flames.

Anywho, make him head coach already.

He is also only 38 years old. He'd be the youngest HC in the NHL by 4 years (Keefe at 42), with Woodcroft and DJ Smith the next youngest at 46, followed by Andre Tourigny at 48. Every other coach is older than 50.

I am very against promoting him to AC like we did with Huska. I think if he’s good enough give him the keys to the car.

You have to think about equality when you're addressing age concerns.

I mean... Sigalet was one of the main voices encouraging the club to draft him in 2019.

No one knows what is too old or too young anymore. Not really the world we live in.

The other side of the coin is the recycled vet coach like Boudreau.

We’ll never get a HC in their prime like a Jon Cooper or a Rod Brind’amour.

I’m ok rolling the dice on the next great guy.
