I don't think Dube or Mangiapane were surprises, Dube because of World Juniors and Mangiapane had a great AHL record. Duehr was a revelation.

My vote for this always was Martin Pospisil...but his injury history and insistence on trying to fight everyone has derailed that thought.

I'm going to say William Stromgren makes huge strides this summer and surprises with a really strong training camp.
