For my playoff pool; Leafs in 7.

For my heart and soul; Panthers in 7.

Bruins would have won in 5 if their goalie didn't blow the game. Pick the Panthers if you like, Leafs are a better team IMO and their goalie has been good so far.

I think Leafs in 6

Leafs are plenty confident after beating the Lightning.

Come in now, obviously Ulmark being terrible was a big and unexpected factor?
.800s goaltending from a guy about to win the Vezina

Panthers got a bunch of bounces and so did the Leafs.

I said 6 games not 4

Do you really think the Leafs aren't the better team?

I like Carolina's chance of going to the finals now. With Boston and TB eliminated I think this shapes up well for them.

I wonder how Treliving feels looking at this match-up? Hopefully not too bitter.

They split the season series with the Panthers the same way the Bruins did. Bruins played a great game and I do NOT think that goaltending was their undoing. The Panthers earned every bit of those wins and they're going to be a tough opponent no matter who they play because of what they learned by going through that series.

The playoffs are a whole new game. Whatever you think of the teams on paper goes out the window.

Panthers forced the best regular season team in NHL history to commit 18 giveaways in Game 7. Was that also because of goaltending?

Don't ask Jim Montgomery what he thought the difference in the series was...

Again their best season in NHL history was with Vezina level goaltending...not the .800s they got in this series. It's a 5 game series if Ulmark doesn't fall apart.

Pick who you like, Leafs are a better team IMO

Like 70% of the board is picking the Leafs yet you guys are riding my D

Leafs are a better team for sure. So was Boston.

I'm just sensing you've got a "Panthers didn't win, the Bruins lost" narrative going lol.

They sure intercepted or broke up a lot of passes. Whether that was them or Boston just gripping the stick really hard I don’t know.

No I'm saying the Bruins goalie choked because he did...he is part of their team

He was the best goalie in the NHL this season and then .800s this series and they took him out for game 7.

Unlikely that happens to the Leafs but who knows

Tried to trade Brodie for Kadri
Never once made moves to get Bennett up the lineup
Exposed Gio (and Kylington) while protecting Noah "blegh" Hanifin
Lowballed Tkachuk out of RFA
Lowballed Johnny Gaudreau out of RFA

If he should be bitter at anyone, it is is himself. Inherited a talented core and amateur scouting and bungled it with big splashes that backfired consistently

Any team would have and should have protected Hanifin over Giordano and Kylington... especially with Gio's salary and age

Gio is on the 3rd pair at league min in Toronto

A 7 game wonder. This should be fun. Gonna love whoever wins as I like both teams having Flames players.
