I’ve made two comments in GD threads all year. Neither were on oiler winning nights. I was simply putting up a stat that shows a different perspective how the oilers were doing lately. I fully admit we’ve struggled in OT for some reason, maybe to do with goal tending, I’m not sure.

EDM loss tonight would have opened the door a smidge for the Flames.
It didn’t happen so now we gotta cheer for the Oilers to beat the Jets back to back this Friday/Saturday.
WPG is the team to chase now.
If the flames can win the next two and the Oil beat the Jets in regulation two in a row, then CGY is one point back, even on games and it’s a legit race.
Yes, it’s extremely unlikely. Yes, Colorado is looking tough to beat even if CGY can pull this rabbitt out the hat. I don’t care. I want playoff games in April. Until the math is so incredibly unrealistic, I ain’t giving up hope.
There’s a chance I give it up by the end of the weekend, but until then, I’m still invested.
