Flames really need to go on a run. Almost at the point where they need to sweep the two games against the Wild in regulation. Probably need to go 3-1-1 against the Coyotes, Knights, Avalanche, Bruins and Leafs to have a credible chance at the playoffs before the deadline.
Really hope if they are more than 4 points out at the deadline they strongly consider selling.
The Wild have the Blue Jackets, Leafs, Blue Jackets, Islanders, Canucks before the deadline. Definitely conceivable that they are 6 or 8 points up on the Flames at the deadline. Hard to see them going worse than .500 in those games, more likely 3-2.

Wild on a 96 point pace now.
Calgary needs to go 16-7-2 (.680) to get to 97.
Flames with 5 games before the deadline
at Yotes
at Knights
at Avalanche
Boston
Toronto
Ten possible points and they basically need 7 of them to be on pace. Feels like a three or four point schedule to me.
Hopefully they don't jump the gun on the deadline (they haven't yet), because they feel there's no point by Sunday morning.

In the TEPOT thread I did a forecast of what results each team would get in their remaining games and eventhough I have CGY losing 4 of their next 5, here is what I got from 5th to 10th.
102 Seattle Kraken
97 Los Angeles Kings
95 Calgary Flames
92 Edmonton Oilers
89 Minnesota Wild
82 Nashville Predators
Wild have more away games where they play for .500 and they will face Vegas , Win and Cgy twice, plus Boston , Toronto, Colorado and Seattle.
Oilers also have to face Boston, Toronto, Vegas, LA and Winnipeg twice plus Sea, Dal and Col.
Flames just need to take care of business

No disrespect to Gaskal but I suspect the amount of work to pull together all of the statistics and graphics and analysis exceeds the PGTs.

Give Markstrom the Yotes, and then Vladar the rest of the season.

Truculent!

Flames only have 6 more wins than the Coyotes.
Let that sink in.
These teams are in the same tier.

Come on now, Flames are closer to Vegas than Arizona.
Flames are in their own tier!

[Craig Morgan] Hearing that D Jakob Chychrun will not play tonight when the Coyotes host the Flames at Mullett Arena. Chychrun hasn't played since Feb. 10 in Chicago when he left the lineup for what the team termed "trade-related reasons." He returned to practice with the team on Tuesday.

You have the preds at 82 points? they are on pace for 90. Thats quite the drop off.

True but they have repeatedly shown they are incapable of it.
I'm just hoping for entertaining games at this point.

The Flames will decisively win one (or more) of these games and there will be a few of us believing that it is the latest turning point of the season.

all the flames need is to pump some BTO in the dressing room, then they'll be taking care of business.

Were you forced to travel there to watch them and forced to pay for tickets?

Check their 8 games in April. Besides games vs Stl and Cgy , it’s a tough schedule.
Also note that my exercise did not include loser points. I wanted to see where the Flames would end up.
It was a fun exercise that tells me there is still hope!
