Personally, I would not be surprised to see Karlsson end up in Seattle. Seattle has a lot to offer San Jose.
I could actually see some kind of 3-way deal where Karlsson ends up in Seattle and Soucy ends up in Edmonton.

Buying high on his first good year in several seasons, potentially reuniting him with Kane (Whom he hates) and then being on the hook for that insane salary.
That would be such a Oilers move, it's actually so dumb that I could totally see them doing it

He's having a 'good year' because the Sharks suck out loud and they dont care. So they DGAF and let him do whatever he wants and he's racking up points.
He has 70 points and is a -3. Perfect Oiler.

Yeah, they played 20 minutes and got outscored 6-4. Definitely a preview of what they'd get with Karlsson on the Oilers.

What difference would it make? They are already out scoring the entire league and have middling results to show for it. Subtracting pieces to add a guy who doesn’t know how to play defence isn’t going to make them more dangerous.
As was just said, there is only one puck. McDavid and Drai play 30 minutes a night and are 90% of the offence. Maybe if they tried to play Karlsson for the other 30 minutes the offence would increase, but you know they would try to play them all together.

Karlsson and Burms didn’t work because both guys need the puck to be good. Karlsson is having a big year because he’s the guy everything goes though.
If he becomes an oiler he won’t play as good as he is now
I really hope this trade goes through
