I miss Johnny.
I'm bummed that he's not here because he was so much fun to watch. He's not here anymore though, so no point in focusing on it. Columbus isn't a rival, and they're a bad team.
Play hard and get the two points and move on.

This is gonna be an emotional one. I personally still like Johnny and don’t think he did anything wrong. Yeah he could’ve made a decision sooner instead of stretching it out as long as he did, but I do think he was legitimately torn on what he wanted to do. He’s definitely gonna get booed which I understand, but I wouldn’t boo the guy if I was at the Dome tonight. I loved watching him and appreciate how great of a player he was for the franchise. And I’ll always remember seeing this goal in person:

I didn't care too much about this game before but after watching that clip and thinking back on all the big goals he scored....Johnny sure was something special. Was so cool to watch him break into the league (remember that first goal against the Canucks?) and prove all the doubters wrong. Too bad how it worked out.
This team needs to get on a winning streak. They need to be a lot more consistent in there efforts. Play a full 60 min. Finish off before the break with 3 wins and need to look good doing it and I am not talking about what kind of suit they are wearing. It starts tonight and I sure hope VLADAR is in.
Johnny's journey to the NHL was the most fun I've ever had following a prospect. From the skinny teenager that looks like he should be working at the MacDonald's drive through when he was first drafted to the elite winger he became, it was a blast watching all of it.
Tons of moments that I loved. Seeing him outperform Nuge at the WJC, and all his detractors eat crow, as he was the best American on that team despite his size was a personal favourite memory of mine.
I hope he gets a standing ovation during his tribute. Guy still deserves it with what he's done on the Flames teams over the 8 years he was here.

I, too, am just going to watch this Monday night game at 7:30 pm against Columbus. I do not care that one of the most exciting players ever to wear a Flames jersey is back in town for the first time. I will not be thinking of Gaudreau scoring the game 7 OT winner against Dallas, or his hug with Monahan in the tunnel afterwards. I won't care about being able to see the guy who is #9 in all time goals, #5 in all time assists, and #5 in all time points by a Flame. My apathy might even be lower tonight, compared to other games this season.
