Only reason I can really think of is the fact Markstrom was excellent in the first round against Dallas last year so they may be looking at that as the reason. Also likely why Vladar started that first game against the Oilers this season

At the highest echelon of hockey, confidence can be the difference between winning and losing, yet Sutter still seems to go back to the less confident goalie which then stifles the confidence the rest of the team could be building on a winning streak. If Markstrom starts I will cheer all the same, but the decision baffles me.

I grew up watching the Seahawks and Mariners on the Spokane channel but never really became a fan. Maybe a little bit in the Zorn and Largent days. Both teams were kind of boring.
The Supersonics, now that's a different story. Downtown Freddie Brown, Gus Williams, Jack Sikma...
