It was an OOT of coaches going against their former team.
Coach Eakins had a dreadful night against the Oilers. The only thing Eakins had going for him was his goalie. Gibson faced 37 shots in just 2 periods and was in an act of mercy. That didn't stop the Oilers as they had another 16 shots in the 3rd period. The score was lopsided and so were the shots, 53-23. Campbell was in net for the Oilers because Skinner was away to be with his wife for the birth of their first child. Congrats to them!
Coach Laviolette lost to the Flyers. Ovechkin was in the sin bin for tripping when Laughton scored on the Flyers PP. The Flyers were 2/6 on the PP and were disciplined all game, just one penalty against them and Philly was able to score a SHG by Konecny.
Coach McLellan was victorious against the Sharks and are 10-2-1 in the past 13 games. The Kings were all over the Sharks in the 1st period, the shots were 22-8 for the Kings. Copley was in net again for the Kings and was high fiving through the glass with Will Farrell at the end of the game.
