Part of it might be that Ruzicka has been fairly productive even when in the bottom 6. If you want to spread scoring around to all lines, he's the guy to play down the line-up right now.

Also, Lewis has had a sore wrist, so they have needed Ruzicka to play C

Given how bad the officiating is in this league when teams play physical combined with their mandate to gift McDavid's team PP chances and Markstrom will have to play his very best for us to win. Beating the Oilers, easy. Beating the Oilers and the league mandate, a lot harder.

Won't be able to watch this one, so I'm just hoping for he best. If they can find a way to stay out of the box, they'll win.
Oilers have been playing like garbage lately, so this is a great opportunity for the Flames to kick them while they're down.

Important game as they have lost points to the Kings and Canucks of late and need to start beating teams that are in a playoff position or battling for one in the division.

Darryl roasting Spector on not being able to count is the best Christmas gift of all.

Any word on which broadcast team we have? I really don't want to listen to Monster Truck tonight.

Fans like to complain about Lucic being in the top 6, but the Oilers have Puljujarvi, Foegele AND Yamamoto in their top 6.
Lucic: 2-7-9
Puljujarvi: 2-6-8
Foegele: 4-3-7
Yamamoto: 2-5-7
At least for the Flames, everyone understands that Lucic is simply a place-filler until they get another RW

The game being in Calgary I'd expect the Flames team to do it

I fully expect the Mangiapane - Backlund - Coleman line to be huge tonight. Hope we get some separation from the Oilers with a W.

Yup, Backlund is an Oiler killer, just like McDavid is a Flame killer

found this... According to his father Ruzicka has been taking antibiotics for a while, battling fever etc. Strange that they haven't let him rest at least one game.

Stay out of the penalty box and the Flames win. However it would be so like this team to take 5 penalties, at least 3 dumb, and the oilers score 3 PP goals.
