Any other team would have rode the momentum of Markstrom’s bounce back performance, culminated by an inspiring 4 minute kill into overtime for a glorious shootout win.

But not the Flames. We still end up face planting, because that’s who we are as a franchise.

The issue is he is one of "Sutter's guys", so he gets too much ice and no accountability when he does dumb stuff.

This team is very hard to watch. We took a top 3 point producer, forced him into a system that doesn't suit his elite talent, then cut his minutes back when he doesn't produce.

Terrific and outstanding performances by the PK and Marky. Forwards were mediocre at best.
