Bennett is what he is, a solid 50-60 point guy who is physical, takes draws and kills penalties. Huberdeau is a different type of player.

Interesting comment by Sutter that Huberdeau’s struggled early, partly due to the adjustment to the unexpected trade, and pretty sure I heard him say now his game is where you want it to be. Good

I want to see Tkachuk try his trolling on one of the newer members of the Flames and have have his hat handed to him by his former Flames teammates who never backed him up that way.

I feel like the Flames dont generally do very well in matinee games. That might not be the case, but just feels that way. Then adding the emotions of this game in particular, Tkachuk is gonna be really charged up.

Don't have a great feeling about this one, hope the Flames can surprise though.

Exactly. Solid 50-60 point guy that’s surpassed 40 points once and 50 points zero times.

He’s been on a hot streak lately but his start to the season was ugly, and he’ll likely fall off pace again. Ice time had been trending down until last game so not sure Maurice is convinced of him either.

And he took a penalty with 2 mins left down by one goal last game...a dumb penalty

I'm sure the FloridaPuck Sam Bennett police will be all over me for mentioning it though like in the other thread

I actually think he is a good player but some of the posts are over the top...I think there are a few posters who would rather he score a hatty today and win so they can say I told you so then the Flames win.
Anyway enough of that

GFG, I hope they aren't too focused on Tkachuk...it's fine for fans and media but the team needs to be focused on the game not one or two former players
