Yeah that was so weird. Like they were running the clock out or something. Rarely see a Sutter team just sort of kinda try when down a goal late. It's like they were ok with the result and just wanted to go home. Need to get on the road and have some fun. Don't look like they're having a lot of fun right now.

4-2 and I don’t think there is any chance we are losing. Brutal to drop that one in regulation

Felt like we kinda owned them in the second and the first 5 minutes of the 3rd then we looked like the 1st period team again maybe worse.

Definitely a poor showing by the team. Bad 1st, better 2nd and then a collapse after getting a 2-goal lead in the 3rd. Not an issue with goaltending for me, this is on the sloppy play defensively by forwards and D.
I'm still blaming the long stretch of no games on this as the Flames looked like their timing was off. Fully expecting the Flames will be much better over the next 10 as they start playing regularly.

That turnover wasn't even on Kadri. Andersson drops it to him when the spacing isn't there, he put him in a tough situation. Andersson played like hot garbage all night.

I think that Beniers is gonna be a legit star, probably starting… this year. Gourde looked good tonight too, so did Soucy.
For the Flames… Toffoli was good, that’s about it.

Benching rookies/call ups is easy and a go to for most veteran coaches for some reason.

It's not all on the goaltending but it was the difference
.808 is not gonna cut it

might be time to cut out the extravagant parties . most of them are paid seven figures . time to treat the job as seriously as they are compensated for it . really phoned in that game on the details and assignments side of it
they talk like they are contenders .. need the work ethic to match

Fair enough, it's a terrible turnover

Andersson made that turnover happen by forcing a quick up instead of a regroup. No need there to force it

Wow tough game to watch, that had to be the worst 1st period in awhile
As others mentioned, the line combo's never worked.
Powerplay was really out of sync
Lots of give aways....

When Andersson is checked out or too tired, he's absolutely brutal. Sometimes you think he sees his flashes like his breakway out of the oenalty box on opening night, he thinks he should be doing that all the time.
