I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say the Jets have the toughest start to the season in the league. So I'm reserving judgment for now until they get a bit more of a non meat grinding schedule and have our coach on the bench.

There's certainly appears to be improvement in some areas and then some stretches they'll definitely be the Jets of last year. So much hinges on how they do against the leaves, 3-2 with such a ridiculous start to the schedule will look actually quite good, while 2-3 will see him like an abject failure. At least to overreactors like me.

Vegas, Avs, Stars and Rangers. It's among the top in terms of tough opponents. Flames have played Vegas, Avs, Oilers and Sabres.

The Jets tried to make a comeback after a disastrous first period, but, it did not happen. Eichel scores a pair of goals and both teams use their back up goalies. The Knights win 5-2.

The Coyotes also tried a comeback down 5-0 after forty minutes. They scored two quick goals, but, the Habs win 6-2. Balanced scoring for the Habs as nine players each had one point.

The Cannots remain win less after five games to start their season, lol. It was another third period blown lead for the Canucks and they did not have a shot in overtime as the Wild won 4-3.

The Stars were lucky to get a point as the Leafs won 3-2 in overtime. The Stars were shorthanded eight times and Wedgewood made 39 saves in the Stars net.

The Oilers win 6-4 over the Hurricanes in the battle former Leafs goalies. Svechnikov with the hat trick in a losing cause.

Ovechkin was pointless as the Capitals lost Senators 5-2. The Senators scored two empty net goals.
