Let's make sure we keep Woodcroft and Gluegun and those schmarmy crap eating grins off thier faces. After woodcrofts playoff antics I never want to see that again.
Im still shocked no one punched him in the face as he stood there at the gate impatiently waiting for his handshake and pat on the head and be told he's a good boy....or maybe Kacz had him come sit on his lap after and tell him he's a good Boi...
I'm so sick of hearing about how awesome the oilers are and how Connor and Drai won't be denied.....can u tell I hate the grease?
Let's please serve up a steaming hot W and win #701 .
Glad Kadri, Huberdeau and Weegs get a taste of this rivalry early so they can let the hate flow and become established .....for Kadri that won't be hard . I just hope he doesn't pull a Bennett and take ill advised badly timed penalties.
Everyone should be playing a 204 ft game....checking oilers 4 ft through the boards bc that's the violence I love.
Go Flames Go

Well, he has in the past. The Flames and Markstrom played an excellent game last regular season in Edmonton before the circus-game in Calgary.

McDavid scares the crap out of me even more this season. Apparently he's intent on being more of a goal scorer
For the love of all that is holy stay. out. of. the. box.

Yes. And the best way to do that is to get the puck and keep it away from them. The Flames are good at that, and based on the game v. Vancouver the Oilers are not great at getting it back.

Don’t want to quote Cheese’s whole post because it’s an image, but the Coiler fan saying he thinks Huberdeau will struggle to score 5 on 5 is rich… what? You mean like your entire team?

Really excited for this one tonight and I have a good feeling. I predict Weegar drops the gloves, Kadri is a factor, and Markstrom has a solid game while the Flames cruise to a victory. Huberdeau with 3 assists

I expect the McDavid dive and whine show to be in full force.

Kadri as a factor.... yes. Kylington's speed will be missed on the back end tonight, and before that Brodie played an important anti-McDavid role, and I see Kadri as being central to this tonight. Curious to see how Sutter rolls things.
Hoping for more good stuff from Markstrom and aggressive backchecking from the forwards - felt like the Flames got a little starry-eyed last year, and hopefully some new blood will help to keep things calm and collected.
Flames win, I'll say 4-2.

Disagree. Let him play them later in the season. If they light him up again (which they always do) it could negatively impact his (what looks to me) already shaky confidence.

That's exactly what Sutter was preaching before the playoffs and we know how well that worked out.

Tough to stay out of the box when the officials are looking to call a penalty if anyone so much as breathes on McDavid. Flames can do whatever they can to try to minimize the calls, but chances are no matter what you do, you're still gonna end up on the PK at least 6 or 7 times when you play the Oilers. It's a given at this point.

Why do they think Kane is some kind of nuclear deterrent?

If he's ready to go, he should play. He looked ready on Thursday, and I very much doubt he is so fragile that this one game is going to destroy his confidence moving forward.

It's a dumb post for many reasons.
- The Oiler roster has 2 players on their roster drafted outside the 1st (McLeod and Skinner)
- The Flames roster has 4, 5 if you include Kylington who would be on the roster under normal circumstances
- Of the 8 guys that Stauffer is trumpeting about, 4 of them were drafted using a pick higher than the Flames have had in their ENTIRE history.
Basically yes there are different ways of building a team. The Oilers built their team by being a historically bad club and fluking their way into the most important payers on their team. And that's something to brag about?
Idiot.
