Go wander around That Retro Store in Inglewood, they have a wall of drool-worthy stainless fronted hifi gear.
On the present topic, I still have the NAD amp and B&W speakers that I bought in 1986 hooked up in my living room for vinyl. It all still works great. Of the big five appliances in the house, I've fixed the washer, dryer and stove at least once. I paid to have the fridge fixed. And the dishwasher will live forever.
I'm trying to hang on to stuff that is still useful as long as possible, mostly out of a conservation mentality. Less raw materials, less landfill can't be a bad thing. Or maybe I'm completely off base and just cheap?

I only use my skis for 2 weeks a year. My buddy in Calgary takes unbelievable care of our skis which he lets me store in his house to save me hauling them back and forth from the UK.
I put my son on my Scream 10 Pilots last season, he loved them. Some guy noticed him putting them on by the tent near the top of the Sunshine Gondola and he couldn’t believe their condition, raving about how they were his first pair of shaped skis.
Meanwhile I was on my brand new Deacons. But I’ll ski them for years.

I am in the same boat with trying to make things last. For years I bought into the disposable economy. Now I'm doing things a lot different. The latest example was a set of lawn chairs. Old me would have bought cheap disposable plastic chairs from Walmart, instead I bought super high quality Adirondack chairs that will likely outlive me.
Anything I buy now that doesn't come with planned obsolescence, I am opting to spend quite a bit more for something that will last decades instead of years. My biggest motivation.... I am sick of adding to the global garbage pile.
And 6 month underwear guy..... I've got a few pairs that would be eligible to vote... if underwear could vote.

I have a backpack that I've been using since 1995. I used it to tote my books around in school, I used it to pack my clothes for weekend trips to visit my girlfriend in Edmonton, I used it to pack clothes and stuff for camping trips. I've used it for hiking and biking. I use it as my carry-on bag for all my flights and to tote stuff around at conferences. Nearly 30 years old and it doesn't really show any signs of wear and tear. It doesn't look brand spanking new but it also doesn't look worn.
I'm in my mid/late 40s and I've owned 6 vehicles all my life. Two I replaced because they were dead, one I replaced because we needed a mini-van and then we added a truck and 5th wheel for camping and my eldest is driving (with two other kids not far behind driving age) so it made sense to have a 3rd vehicle. My neighbors get a new vehicle every 3 years yet, here we are still owning the same vehicles for the past 11 years and now a truck that will probably outlast those two vehicles. We'll probably replace the mini-van within a couple years, assuming it lasts, when my mon gives up driving and hands us the keys to her SUV.
I like to keep things as long as I can.

If it still serves the purpose I keep it. I'm not keeping up the the Jones'.
Cell phone I use until it dies. Feels like I just got my current phone, but I'm over 2 years with it. Would love to get 2 more.
I drive a 2009 Accord. It does what I need it to do (point A to point B). It's fully paid for, so no monthly car payment. That's nicer than having a 2022 car.
I wear clothing until it dies. Tech until it dies or is no longer useful. Same with appliances.
I'll try and fix stuff myself if I can. Depending on what it is, take it to a professional (like the car).
I'm less of a things guy, and more of an experiences guy.
Heck, CP works just as well on my Galaxy S10 as it would on the new iPhone 14 Pro.

The longer the better. Really try my best to stay out of the disposable stuff cycle. It’s hard though everything now is either made like garbage or made to break within a certain time frame.

My parents had that, imported from Japan so it has the 2 pin power plug. I've still got the EQ and SL-Q6 turntable(in use!). The tape tech and amp died years ago. So the turntable is probably the oldest thing I own that I still use regularly.

I tend to hang on to items for quite a long time, and only replace things unless they need replacing. For example I just found out this weekend my ~25-year-old tent has a kinked/bent zipper. I'm hoping I can find a place to get it fixed, cause I don't really want to just throw in the landfill and buy a new one.

Talk to Steve at Spirit West. They can put a new zipper on that for you.

I love this topic. I'm definitely a quality person while trying to spend minimal on goods. Generally I won't spend $200 for a sweater or shoes when $80 will get me the same quality. As long as the style doesn't go completely out, I'll wear it out, but I do find handwashing clothes keeps them lasting forever - jeans and all. I think that habit stuck with me since highschool. When something begins to look outdated I just donate it rather than FB Marketplacing it.
Cars, I'll keep for about 13 years, oil spraying them and all to keep them (Honda's), until they rust out then time to replace.
If it's electronic, I'm generally looking for things well built (Apple, Lenovo, Sony), as I want them to last for awhile - don't always need the latest and greatest, but when I do find something I'm interested in I go into OCD mode to see the features and what benefits are, and may splurge a little more to get something good.
When it came to getting my house, I did a lot of research of quality appliances and settled on Whirlpool for stove and fridge, Bosch for dishwasher, and LG for washer/dryer. Totally for quality and longevity. No to Samsung!

Oddly, we just installed a new Miele dishwasher today. Last one was the same brand that lasted nearly 20 years.

Ugh...I know right? I could swear I've taught these people how to do this a million times.
